The Cocoa Butter Body Scrub($18) is my all time favourite body scrub from The Body Shop. A lot of people complain about the smell of this one but I've never had a problem with the way it smells. I've tried a lot of body scrubs from TBS and always keep coming back to this one!
The scrub has coarse, medium sized grains in a creamy base. I take a couple of scoops in a small bowl inside the shower to prevent water from getting in. I usually use this after using a regular shower gel or prior to shaving to help with exfoliation and prevent in-growth. I scrub it all over, leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off. The texture is easy to spread and washes off well too. Every time after using this, my skin feels super soft and glowy. Since the granules are a little gritty, it exfoliates really well scrubbing away dry skin. It also does a great job softening rough spots like knees & elbows. It does not leave a film but feels super moisturizing at the same time. I would still use a moisturizer or a body butter to seal in the moisture and for some extra softness.
Overall, this is an amazing buy and one of the best body scrubs I have used. It does sound like some extra work but is totally worth it. By no means will I call this a gentle scrub. But it is a great pick if you have dry skin! Since it is quite pricey, this is one of the things I try to stock up on when TBS has a sale!
