Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

After trying out Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle and being pretty impressed, I got Berry Smoothie, a medium shimmery pink. The shimmer doesn't look very obvious or isn't very chunky but, I wasn't very happy with the way it felt while on my lips.

Berry Smoothie has a much less smooth texture and clings on to the dry bits of my lips. If your lips are in perfect condition, this is a great color but, if you tend to have dryness now and then, this may not be a good choice. While I love the color of this one, I wish it was more moisturizing & as smooth as Pink Truffle. Also since it is a lip butter, I don't want to go through the hassle of applying a lip balm and prepping my lips so much prior to using this. I keep Berry Smoothie for days when my lips are already in a good condition and need a nice pink tint with a good glossy sheen. Overall, a very pretty color that lasts for about 2 hours but, tends to make my lips feel dry once it's gone. I like the glossy finish but, I wish there wasn't so much of an inconsistency in the formula within these lip butters.

What are your thoughts on the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie?

  1. Agreed about it not being as smooth and buttery as Pink Truffle, it's strange how the formulation is different within the range, I suppose due to some of the lipsticks having glitter. From my experience, the darker shades are a lot more moisturising than the lighter ones. Berry Smoothie is a pretty everyday colour though :)

    1. I know, right? I should try one of the reds probably :D I don't think Berry Smoothie is something I'll reach out to when the weather starts to get a lil cold!
