Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Lash Extension System

The Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System ($35) is a three step system that claims to work like brush on false lashes, delivering a lot of length and volume. The kit comes with a base and top coat (Step 1 and 3 of the system) which looks and works like regular mascara and a nylon lash fiber system (Step 2) that helps activate the mascara to stretch out.

The first step of using the activating mascara didn't do much to my sparse lashes. It helped them separate quite a bit without making them stiff, prepping them for Step 2. You could use a lash primer before step 1, I didn't. Step 2 is where you brush on the Nylon lash fibers. This step truly helps my lashes look super long but they also needed some volume. Step 3 is the last step where you put on another coat of the mascara to complete the look.

From my experience, Step 2 is what made a lot of difference in the length of my lashes. The activating mascara did not do anything much to my lashes, neither in volume nor length. I am inclined to try the Nylon lash fibers with another volumizing mascara since it made quite a bit of difference in the way my lashes looked length wise, but needed more volume. A word of caution though, the Nylon fibers do have a possibility of getting into your eyes and also removing the mascara after about 5-6 hours was a little difficult for me. You also need to be a very patient while applying else, you could end up with clumpy lashes which can get very hard to separate once the mascara sets.

Overall, the The Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System works to deliver a lot of length but, needs some tweaking in the volume department. If you have sparse lashes like me, you may not quite end up with the false lash effect. But, if you have pretty good volume and want to add a lot of length, this is a great pick.

    1. I have extremely sparse lashes and def. needed more volume. The Nylon extensions may work with any other mascara I suppose!
