Stila Set and Illuminate Baked Powder Trio - The Illuminators

Stila's new Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio ($34) is a new launch for summer that comes with three sheer, highlighting powders. By grinding the baked trio, it dispenses a mix of the three colors that combine to form a pale, champagne highlight powder.

Since the powder is quite sheer, it works well even as an overall setting powder without making you look like a disco ball. It is very sheer, subtle and adds a healthy glow that looks very natural and slightly dewy even over tinted moisturizer. Texture wise, the product is very finely milled and super easy to blend. But, the dispenser grinds a little too much product every time and is quite messy to use. The baked powder trio comes with three of Stila's highlight powders - Pale pink (warms the complexion),Champagne (highlights the skin), Kitten( brightens and illuminates). Kitten, one of Stila's best selling shades isn't the most flattering on me when used as a shadow but, it doesn't look as frosty on me when combined with the other two shades in the baked powder trio. I also prefer using a dusting of this all over my face since it doesn't show up very well when used as a highlighter on my skin tone.

Overall, if you like sheer highlighters with a nice sheen and don't mind the fall out from powder products, the Set and Illuminate Baked Powder Trio is something you must try. Although the product doesn't look very shimmery, it may emphasize large pores so, be sure to prep well. There's also quite a lot of product in there that will last a very long time.
