Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet

Rose Velvet is a medium, berry pink with a creme finish from the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($4.99-7.99) line. The Super Lustrous lipsticks have a really nice color selection and there's a shade or two that is perfect for every skin tone. These lipsticks also come in creme and frost finishes.

Rose Velvet is a great, wearable berry that goes on a little more lighter than how it looks in the tube. I like how smooth the texture is. The lipstick has a semi-matte finish and a very slight, natural looking sheen. It feels comfortable and there's no fragrance which is great for a drugstore lipstick. I don't think these are very moisturizing lipsticks but, they aren't extremely drying either. I would definitely apply lip balm underneath, even if my lips are in good condition. As for the staying power, I get about 3 hours after which it is completely gone.

Overall, the color selection is just fabulous but, the formula could be just a little more moisturizing. Rose Velvet is a great pinky berry that complements a ton of eye looks and is flattering on a lot of skin tones too.

What are your favourite Super Lustrous Lipsticks?

  2. I keep forgetting to do a post on this shade. You don't know how many photos in my portfolio would have been doomed if this lipstick didn't exist. :P You are correct when you say it flatters so many skin tones.

  5. I actually don't have any Revlon lipsticks in my beauty cabinet... Lots of nail polishes but no lipsticks. I might have to change that - thanks for your review honey!
