butter LONDON Autumn/Winter 2012 LIPPY Collection

butter LONDON's A/W '12 LIPPY collection features five new shades of LIPPY ($17) lip glosses, perfectly co-ordinated with the nail colors. I quite like butter LONDON's selection of colors since they make the matchy-matchy trend easy to wear. The A/W LIPPY collection includes - Toff, Come To Bed Red, Tea With The Queen, La Moss and Queen Vic.

Last time I tried some of their LIPPY glosses, they had a pretty strong scent that would stay on for quite a while. This time around, they have re-formulated and replaced it with a sweet caramel smell that I absolutely love. The formula of these glosses are pretty fantastic with the right mix of pigment, stickiness and lasting power. They go on smooth and moisturize really well.

Toff is a beautiful, mauve-y pink that looks like a perfect nude on my pigmented lips. The nail polish is a soft neutral that is perfect all year round. Queen Vic is a deep berry, a perfect fall color for lips and tips. The color is very rich and stunning on toes too. Both glosses are quite pigmented and have a lovely sheen to them. The nail polishes are a gorgeous creme finish and very opaque too!

The only problem I had with the LIPPYs were the scent and now that butter LONDON has fixed it, I think they are just perfect! The texture is not too thick and lasts about 3 hours on me. LIPPY is paraben-free and the nail lacquers are 3-free.

What are your thoughts on the butter LONDON Autumn/Winter 2012 LIPPY collection?

  2. I'm liking the Queen Vic color! I have the lippies in trout pout and teddy girl, but I'm thinking I may need to add this one.

    1. How did you like the older lippy formulas? I kinda like how they added in a different fragrance :)
