Laura Mercier Summer Nudes Collection

Laura Mercier's Limited Edition Summer Nudes Collection features Lip Glaces and Nail Lacquers in various shades of nudes, beiges and pinks. The soft, everyday neutrals flatter most skin tones and work beautifully against a summer tan. The Lip Glaces in this collection are a mix of limited edition and re promoted shades, while the nail lacquers are all limited edition. ***Press Samples

I have a couple of pieces with a few quick thoughts and swatches. Lip Glace in Bare Blush ($24) is a neutral pink beige with a lovely creme finish. Bare Blush is part of Laura Mercier's Core Collection. I love Laura's Lip Glace formula - its non sticky, very moisturizing and very glossy. Bare Blush is just my kinda neutral. It doesn't wash me out and looks extremely nice with a smokey eye. I love layering it over quite a few everyday pinks and browns. These Lip Glaces have a sweet caramel scent and they last about 2-3 hours on me. Great formula, fantastic color.

The Nail Lacquer in Bare Mocha ($18) is a rich cocoa, with hints of rose. It makes for a great fall color - the shade isn't the most unique, but it is very sophisticated and nice. It goes on darker than how it looks in the bottle and the formula needs two coats for complete opacity. The brush is a regular thin brush, perfect for my shorter nails. As much as I like the color, it only lasted a day on me before starting to chip. It dries pretty fast, and has a very glossy finish, but the lasting power isn't the best. Bare Mocha is a gorgeous color, I just wish it wore better - at least a couple of days would have been nice. That said, the Summer Nudes Collection has some fabulous colors of nail polishes, so if you don't mind the average lasting power, do grab one before its gone!
