Burberry Beauty has a new makeup collection out called Summer Showers, that features bright, fresh colors for summer in three color variants - Orange Poppy, Pink Azalea and Pink Peony. Also new to the collection is the Fresh Glow Cream Blush, a dewy finish cream blush in a formula blended with over 50% water content that has a cooling sensation on the skin. Orange Poppy Nail Polish ($21; burberry.com) is a muted orange coral with a hint of red. There's also very fine pink shimmer that isn't very visible on the nail, but adds a little something to the polish.
Orange Poppy is a rather opaque polish with a gorgeous creme finish. I've applied two coats here, but you can easily get away with just one. The formula was excellent on this one - super fast drying, non-streaky and great consistency. The only thing I din't quite like was the overly flat brush. Its a tad too broad for my smaller nails and doesn't help much in terms of even application around the cuticle. Orange Poppy is a perfect spring/summer color that would look great against most skin tones. The color isn't quite as bright in person, as it looks on the Burberry website, just perfect for someone who wants a pop of color without leaning neon. I've worn it for about 3 days now and so far, quite a bit of tip wear and a few minor chips here and there is what I see. Overall, its a fabulous polish, great formula, amazing packaging and a must-have from the Summer Showers Collection!
