Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Destiny

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Destiny ( $38; chanel.com), is a neutral/nude blush and one of the most natural looking colors for most medium/dark skin tones from the Chanel Creme Blush range. Chanel's Cream Blush has a smooth, almost mousse like texture that dries to a satin matte finish.

Destiny is not shimmery, its matte with a slight sheen, so not very flat looking and the color is just a tad more pink when applied compared to how it looks in the pan. I did expect the texture to be somewhat similar to Dior's Limited Edition Cream Blushes that were launched last year, but Chanel's is a lot more drier and less creamy. It still is very easy to blend though and since its not the most pigmented, its difficult to go overboard. I like using a flat foundation brush or any dense brush to blend the color out - unlike most other cream blushes, fingers don't seem to do the job for me here. I also expected the finish to be dewy, but it still is a good one to try if your skin is quite dry since it doesn't enhance pores or look patchy. I really like the small-ish packaging and how easy it is to carry around. I don't have anything too similar to Destiny - Tarte's Exposed might be a close dupe, but I don't have that one currently to compare. Overall, its a great blush to look into if you like very natural looking, neutral toned blushes that go on effortlessly and wear well without fading much throughout the day.
