Elie Saab’s Le Parfum L’Edition Or ($124; neimanmarcus.com) is new and comes in a gorgeous gold limited edition bottle for the holidays. The bottle features subtle gold ombre design and comes as an Eau de Parfum. L’Edition Or features notes of Orange Blossom, Royal and Sambac Jasmine Absolutes, Patchouli, Cedarwood and Honey Rose.
Elie Saab Le Parfum is a very feminine, sophisticated scent, quite heavy on the Orange Blossom and Patchouli and definitely more suited for the fall and winter. It opens up with notes of Orange Blossom and Jasmine, both of which make the opening quite heady, very floral and quite sweet too. It takes a while before the scent settles to something a bit more warm. The dry down brings out most of the Patchouli, Cedarwood and a bit of the Rose. On many occasions, I’ve had it wear differently on me, but it sure is one strong fragrance that lasts the whole day without fading much at all. If you like woody floral compositions with a touch of spice, Elie Saab’s Le Parfum might be something you’d want to check out. As for the bottle, I’ve always loved the original bottles that Elie Saab’s fragrances come in and this collectible ombre gold bottle that L’Edition L’Or comes in is one step prettier, very festive looking and makes for a beautiful gift!
