Dolce & Gabbana Nail Lacquer in 830 Baroque Silver

Dolce & Gabbana recently revamped their nail polish line and added a few new colors and a nicer brush. I picked up Baroque Silver, a shimmery grey with hints of purple. The brush on this polish is a wide, curvy brush that makes application super easy. I found that it needed very little cleanup around the cuticles and deposited polish evenly.

Baroque Silver ($25.50; sephora.com) is very unique to my polish stash. It has shimmer that isn’t too fine, so removal was a tad difficult and I needed more cotton pads and remover than usual (not as much as with a full on glitter packed polish though). It is quite sheer on the first coat, the second coat evens things out beautifully. A third coat would probably make the polish look perfect, but I did only two plus a top coat. I absolutely love the color, the quick drying formula and thinner consistency. I did not find much of a difference between the old and the new polishes in terms of application, but the new brush is definitely better than the long, thin brush Dolce & Gabbana previously had. Wear time was pretty decent with a few chips and tip wear after about 3 days, which is just what I get from most, well-formulated polishes anyways. I’ll definitely be going back for more colors soon!
