L’Occitane’s newest launch is the Immortelle Divine Cream Mask ($145; usa.loccitane.com), a rich, hydrating mask that can be used as an overnight mask either once a week or for a week as a treatment that would help skin transition between seasons. The mask also comes with a 24K Gold Plated applicator that works as a massager to boost circulation and improve skin softness.
Like everything else from the Divine range from L’Occitane, this one too smells floral, but not too strong. The mask is like a thick, hydrating moisturizer that comes with a spatula to scoop product out. To use, I first massage on clean face using the textured side of the applicator, followed by a quick massage of the cream mask with my fingers. Once the product is absorbed, which it does pretty quickly, I finish off by using the smooth side of the applicator. The product comes with a small booklet that has massage instructions and how to use the applicator, which is very handy. The mask is great for dry, dull skin and leaves skin super smooth and a tad firm. I love it as an overnight mask and loved the way my skin felt the next morning. It is quite a luxurious addition to my skincare routine and the massage action with the applicator needs only very little product, so I’m sure the jar would last me ages. Overall, the L’Occitane Divine Immortelle Cream Mask is definitely one I’d reach out to more than just once a week in the coming colder months. Its a great mask for dull, dry skin and definitely a splurge, but a nice luxury for skin at the end of the day.
