Burberry Kisses Sheer ($33; sephora.com) is a new lip color launch form Burberry, a sheer, shiny lipstick that comes in 24 shades. Nude No.221 is a rosy brown nude that’s a natural color to even out lip pigmentation and add quite a bit of color.
One of my favorite formulas from Burberry, the lip mists have now been discontinued and I had expected the formula to be similar. Kisses Sheer is fragrance-free and feels a tad more dense compared to the lip mists. The texture has a nice slip and quite a bit of color for something labelled sheer. It does have a lovely sheen to it that fades in a couple of hours when the color starts to. I’m glad Burberry has been reformulating their products fragrance free which was the main drawback with their older lip formulations. Kisses Sheer also comes in really nice slim packaging and is quite moisturizing, though not overly so. Overall, I love Kisses Sheer since I do prefer sheer lipsticks in general more than opaque ones. The formula isn’t too long wearing, similar to most sheer lipsticks and glosses, but it is very lightweight and super comfortable to wear. Nude especially is a nice everyday color with a good balance of pink and brown that is super easy to wear.
