Keep Young And Beautiful Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift ($45; renskincare.com) is a new addition to REN’s permanent skincare range, a lightweight gel-serum that helps instantly perk up the eye area, smoothing lines, lightening dark circles and making you look well rested. Beauty Shot Eye Lift, is very light and can be used alone, over or under makeup. It comes in a small pump bottle and the texture is smooth, almost like a primer, but thinner. It also has a pearlescent quality to it that helps give a boost to the eye area. I usually like to use this alone and sometimes under makeup, just like I would with any eye cream. I also like to use it under my regular eye cream and that helps tighten the eye area before moisturizing. The texture absorbs pretty quickly and does not interfere with makeup application. I do think that it helps instantly perk up the eye area, making it look a tad brighter and less tired, especially on days when I’ve had little to no sleep and the results are better when this is used just like a serum, underneath your eye cream. It sure is an extra step, but I do see a difference on days when I skip using it. Overall, I really like it and think its a really nice addition to my skincare routine and the extra step of adding something extra to your eye cream is not too time consuming either.
