Dior Diorskin Nude Air Powder in Medium Beige

The Diorskin Nude Air Powder ($55; sephora.com) is a lightweight pressed powder with a satin matte finish. The shade range is rather small, but then, it is a sheer powder and not a powder foundation as such. I went with Medium Beige, which is quite perfect for my skin tone, maybe just a tad warm, in a nice way. The packaging is nice and there’s a good quality kabuki brush that comes with it to buff it in.

The powder is quite lightweight and perfect over light bases. I absolutely love it over Dior’s BB Cream. Three brushes I like to use with this are the Chanel Angled Powder Brush #2, the NARS Hanamachi Kabuki Brush and the small kabuki that comes with the powder. The finish leans matte, but has a nice satin finish overall without looking too flat. It doesn’t cover a whole lot, but is a lovely setting powder that looks very fresh and feels light. Overall, a great, sheer powder for summer and just all round the year if you like the ease of a compact and the finish of a lightweight powder, if you can find a good shade match from the few they offer.
