Gen Nude is a new launch from bareMinerals, a lineup of various shades of nudes lip colors. The Gen Nude lineup has three formations - Matte Liquid Lipsticks, which are satin matte, Buttercream Lipglosses which are shiny, smooth and moisturizing, the Radiant Lipsticks that feel balmy and lightweight and Under Over Lip Liners.
Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss ($18; sephora.com) is a great gloss with nice pigmentation. It feels comfortable, is very mildly sticky and has a lot of shine. Flirt is one of my favorite shades that I’ve been wearing quite a bit of late and would recommend it for medium-dark skin tones if you are looking for a creme gloss in the perfect shade of mauve, sans any shimmer or glitter.
Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick ($20; sephora.com) is a lightweight, slightly sheer lipstick that feels more like a tinted lip balm. Its a nice formula on its own and layers very well with the lipgloss. Honeybun is my favorite color of the ones I tried and the perfect nude to pair with a smokey eye.
Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip Color ($18; sephora.com) is a very matte liquid lipstick that dries to a gorgeous velvety finish and feels quite comfortable for a matte formula. Boss in particular is a gorgeous color and looks great with neutral eyes. I did find myself reaching for a touch of lip balm after a couple of hours, but the color stays put without feathering too much. I also love the Under Over Lip Liner ($16; sephora.com) in Attitude. Its quite a deeper color and nice to pair with browns and nudes and the formula keeps everything from bleeding.
