One of my favorite year round fragrances, Alaia Paris, that launched last year now has a gorgeous Scented Body Cream ($95; saksfifthavenue.com) and a Scented Candle(($89; saksfifthavenue.com). Both the candle and body cream have the same notes as the fragrance and are exclusive to Saks Fifth Avenue.
The Body Cream comes packaged in a heavy glass jar that feels weighty and luxe. The texture is velvety smooth and the scent is fabulous. It is quite a strong fragrance though and is great even without being layered under the fragrance. The notes are similar, this one too is a floral musk composition wherein the freesia, violet and white musk linger on the skin beautifully! The Scented Candle comes packaged in a heavy glass jar and fills up the room with the signature Alaia floral scent within minutes. Nice throw, burns evenly and the fragrance doesn’t get too cloying even after a few hours.The packaging on both the body cream and candle are stunning. If you liked Alaia’s fragrance and can’t get enough of the scent, which to me is a sophisticated, floral musk composition, do check these fabulous new additions out!
