Alaia Eau de Parfum Blanche ($150 for 3.3oz; saksfifthavenue.com) is the newest addition to the Azzedine Alaia range of fragrances. Alaia Eau de Parfum Blanche is described as a Musky Almond Floral, with notes of Almond, Heliotrope, Vanilla Absolute, Musk and White Florals. The fragrance comes packaged in a beautiful white box case, the Alaia Laser Cut patten engraved on both the gorgeous, transparent glass bottle and box.
The fragrance itself is quite a heavy, sophisticated, grown up scent. Its a beautiful powdery floral that I’d wear all through fall, until spring. The opening is sweet, fresh and undeniably floral. The Almond and Musk come through once it settles down, while the dry down is mostly a soft, powdery scent that lingers all through the day for me. It has amazing longevity and moderate sillage. Alaia Blanche is quite different from the original Alaia Eau de Parfum, stronger and more floral, but definitely one to look into, if you like a good, grown up powdery floral for this time of the year. I could wear this well until spring/ early summer!
