Elie Saab Le Parfum Resort Collection ($98; shop.nordstrom.com) is new for spring, a limited edition composition and a juicier, lighter version of Elie Saab’s Le Parfum for spring/summer. The bottle, much like other Resort Collections, is just gorgeous - the iconic design now comes in a bright and cheerful red coral gradient. The notes include Red Mandarin, Frangipani, Pomegranate Nectar, Jasmin Sambac and Orange Blossom. The opening is very similar to the classic Le Parfum by Elie Saab, with prominent notes of the Jasmic Sambac and Orange blossom, but as it dries down, the fragrance turns more zesty, juicy and very sweet, bringing out the Red Mandarin and Pomegranate. The floral notes linger through the dry down keeping it interesting, without turning the fragrance into something too sweet and cloying. The longevity, although shorter when compared to the original Le Parfum , is still pretty good. Overall, a very fresh and juicy take on Le Parfum and a lovely fragrance for Spring and Summer that I’ll be wearing a lot of.
