The Catrice Liquid Metal Long lasting Cream Eyeshadows ($5.99; ulta.com) are metallic, long wear cream eyeshadows that are budge proof and waterproof. They have fabulous high shine, metallic sheen and a lot of shimmer. I tried two shades from the range, Brown Under and Smart Mauve, both neutrals that work as bases for me and pretty much look alike after blending out. The shimmer does sheer out quite a bit upon application and can be a bit tricky to work with if not blended out immediately, since it does dry down quite fast. Its a buildable consistency and can go from a light wash of shimmer to a full on metallic, foiled look. I love the applicator and also the slightly mousse like consistency. It wore well as a base and started to crease after the 4-5 hour mark when on its own. Overall, a great wallet friendly, easy to work with eyeshadow if you like the very metallic, shimmery finish and something that works as a base and on its own.
