The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

The 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ($9.80; sephora.com) is one of my very first skincare picks from The Ordinary. It is 100%, high-purity, sustainability sourced, organic, cold pressed rose hip seed oil, sans any fillers . The packaging, like everything else from the brand, is simple and comes in an opaque glass jar with a dropper. Its nice as an additional step to any skincare routine, especially for this time of the year. Its a lovely oil and takes care of any dryness issues really well. It is unrefined and can have a strong, fishy scent (some more than others since its a naturally occurring scent), so that is one to keep in mind if you have a sensitive nose. I am quite sensitive to fragrances in my skincare and this surprisingly did not bother me at all. It sinks in fairly quickly and doesn’t feel too greasy or heavy. While I do think that this is a lovely oil that I like as part of my skincare routine, I don’t think it is miraculous. I like the hydration from it, the slight brightening effect and how it feels on my dry skin. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and have a lot of it left in the bottle, so its good value for money too, for less than $10. I only use this in the night and it can make skin a tad sensitive the next day, which is something to keep in mind if you are outdoors a lot. Overall, if you have dry/combination skin, its a good oil to have as part of your skincare routine, in addition to other moisturizers.
