A few wallet-friendly makeup finds under $10 that I’ve recently discovered that is perfect for the last few weeks of summer and fall!
Super Lustrous The Gloss ($8; ulta.com) is a reformulated version of Revlon’s best selling gloss. The shades this time around are gorgeous and the wand applicator makes application a breeze. They are mildly sticky and sligthy thick which makes them long lasting and moisturizing.
Essence has a ton of fabulous buys and here are a few that I’m currently loving. The Plumping Nudes Lip Gloss ($3.99; ulta.com) is a sheer-medium coverage gloss that is slightly plumping and super glossy. I absolutely love the formula and the colors are all very wearable nudes. The This Is Nude Lipstick ($3.99; ulta.com) is a satin finish lipstick, again in mostly shades of nudes to darker plums. The finish and formula are long wearing, doesn’t move around too much and is absolutely worth the price. The Melted Chrome Eyeshadows ($4.99; ulta.com) are foil finish eyeshades that come in some very eye-catching shades. 06 is my favorite and a great fall/year round color for me. The Lash Princess Falsh Lash Effect Waterproof ($4.99; ulta.com) is a waterproof version of their best seller mascara. I like the non waterproof version for volume and this one is great for length more than volume. On the plus side, it does not budge and needs an oil based makeup remover to get off.
The NYX Sweet Cheeks Cream Powder Blush ($7; ulta.com) and Lip Lingerie Push-Up Long-Lasting Lipstick ($9; ulta.com) from NYX are among their newest launches and come in shades of plum, pinks and nudes. The Sweet Cheeks Cream Powder Blush is a long wearing blush that comes in matte and luminous finishes and is pigment packed. The Lip Lingerie is a long wearing lip crayon that is slightly plumping. It can get a tad drying after about 2-3 hours and the plumping was a little too tingly for me, but if you want a lip color that stays put and remains very matte, this is a good pick.
Yes, I Canyon and Into The A-Bliss are two classic, year round shades from Essie’s Rocky Rose Collection ($9; taget.com). The collection features shades of pink, neutrals and roses that can be worn any season and some shades in this collection are work friendly neutrals. Essie’s wide brush is great for application and the formula is among the nicest from the drugstore.
