L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm

The Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm ($49; usa.loccitane.com) is a very luxurious, anti-aging cleansing balm, part of the Immortelle line by L’Occitane. I picked this up very recently and use it as the first step of my cleansing routine to cleanse and remove makeup. It's a thicker balm that has a balm-in-oil consistency and a little bit goes a really long way with this one. It also comes with a tiny spatula, something I love with products that come in jars. The scent is the same floral Immortelle scent and makes for a pleasant cleansing experience. It's a luxuriously formulated cleanser with a blend of nourishing oils like sweet almond and coconut along with shea butter. I could get most of my makeup off, including waterproof eye makeup with this balm. It can be rinsed off or like me, you could use a warm washcloth to get it all off. I also follow up with a mild second cleanser to get that squeaky clean feel. This one does not strip my skin of its natural oils and doesn’t leave any kind of a residue behind, when used with a second cleanser. Overall, a splurge for an everyday cleansing balm considering the small-ish jar it comes in, but a great skincare addition if you like oils and balms to take your makeup off effortlessly and can keep this in rotation with other makeup removing products.
