Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Rose&Rose, Pour Homme Wood&Wood

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Rose&Rose, Wood&Wood Review, Photos, Notes

Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Rose&Rose ($111; macys.com) and Pour Homme Wood&Wood ($98; macys.com) launched earlier this year make for great holiday gifts for any fragrance lover. Rose&Rose is a fruity-floral composition with notes of Rose, Raspberry, Pear, Pink Pepper, Cashmere Wood, Amber and Patchouli. It's a youthful floral and a perfect spring-summer fragrance and also since I love anything rose-based, this is something I’d wear all through the year. The bottle is sleek and gorgeous just like all other Issey Miyake fragrances and the pink hue adds a very feminine touch. The opening is very soft, sweet and not overpowering. I get more of the pink pepper, pear, rose and raspberry from the first spritz. As it settles down, the creamy cashmere wood peeks through. I don’t get too much patchouli even after the scent dries down, the rose is the more dominant note which I absolutely love. Wood&Wood is an aromatic woody fragrance with notes of grapefruit, cardamom, sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, patchouli and apricot. It's a soft woody fragrance that isn’t too strong with just a hint of sweetness with average longevity. I found Rose n Rose to have more longevity though. Both these are year round fragrances and make for great holiday gifts. If you are someone like me and love rose based fragrances, I’d definitely recommend checking out Issey Miyake’s Rose&Rose.
