Clarins’ Water Lip Stain ($30; clarinsusa.com) is a water based lip stain that comes in four bright shades. The texture and consistency is smooth, lightweight and non sticky. The colors are perfect for summer or anytime you want a nice pop of color without the heaviness. Red Water is a bright festive red, Orange Water is a mid tone coral, Violet Water is a berry while Rose Water is a bright fuchsia. The brush applicator is fantastic and a little goes a really long way with this product. The barely there feel is amazing and the pigment lasts a good 7-8 hours. It can be layered under a gloss since the product itself isn't glossy and the shine wears off within the first hour. The color is budge-proof and needs a good oil/makeup remover balm to completely get off. Overall, a great longwearing lip product for anyone wanting a bright pop of color in a super lightweight formula.
