Eternal Aura Eau de Parfum ($69 - $115; elizabetharden.com) is a new fragrance launch from Elizabeth Arden. Its described as a floral amber fragrance with notes of Golden Pear, Pink Pepper, Rose, Pink Peony, Sandalwood, Magnolia and Tonka Bean to name a few.
Eternal Aura is a crisp, bright floral with a softer dry down. The opening is very floral, slightly sweet with a prominent pear, pink pepper, rose and magnolia mix. The sweetness isn't too cloying and the floral notes perfectly balance it out. I love how the pink pepper makes it interesting and keeps it fresh and aromatic with a touch of spice. As it dries down, the Sandalwood and Tonka Bean kick in. They both keep the dry down soft and add a nice balance to the floral notes. The Sandalwood also adds a touch of powderiness to the fragrance while the Tonka Bean adds an interesting, spicy touch. Overall, a very light, yet feminine scent perfect for spring and summer. The longevity was average and the bottle is gorgeously made.
