Lumiere du Jour ($35- $105; sephora.com) is a new fragrance addition to the Moroccanoil fragrance family. Lumiere du Jour is a floral woody musk with notes of Salt, Fig Leaf, Juniper, Jasmine, Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Musk, Amber & Woody Notes. To me, it's more of a white floral with a hint of soft musk.
The opening is not too heady, yet strong enough to be defined as a floral. I get the Jasmine, Tuberose, Fig Leaf, Salt & Juniper. The Orange Blossom is not too strong, yet lingers through the dry down without becoming too strong. The Fig Leaf adds a softer element to the fragrance while the Juniper keeps it aromatic and fresh. I love how subtle yet rightly done the musk, amber and woody notes are at dry down. They balance the floral notes and keep the fragrance well rounded. Lumiere du Jour makes for a gorgeous spring fragrance, also great to layer on as we move from spring to summer. Overall, a very sophisticated, yet playful floral musk with average staying power and something you can't go wrong with for this time of the year.
