L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eye Shadow

The L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eye Shadows($7.95) are pressed pigment shadows that come in 12 shades ranging from easy to wear everyday shades to playful brights. These shadows are mighty pigmented and have a very smooth, luxurious finish. They also claim to last 24 hours without creasing or transferring.

The packaging is very chic and easy to travel with. There's a small lid inside that covers the shadow and keeps it pressed. The texture is very smooth and super blendable. I would recommend using a primer underneath, at least for the metallic shades. Without a primer, these shadows last for a good 4 hours after which they crease a little bit. Layered over a base, they stay put for about 8 hours.

Amber Rush -  A shimmery, metallic bronzy gold with a foil like finish. It does look a little too foiled on me and makes for a very festive shade.
Sultry Smoke - A dark, smoky grey with very little shimmer. I absolutely love this shade as a lid color. It makes for a great smokey eye and also a great shadow to smudge along the lower lash line. If there is one shade you need to try, it is Sultry Smoke.
Perpetual Purple - Bright, shimmery purple with blue and pink micro shimmer. It is a bright, gorgeous color that looks great on the lid and adds a nice pop of color along the lower lash line.

The best way to apply the metallic shades are with a flat shader brush or just pressing them onto the lids with fingers. With a fluffy brush, they tend to get deposited unevenly. Sultry Smoke on the other hand, works really well as a wash of color when used with a fluffy brush.

Overall, although not so long-lasting as L'Oreal claims, these are great quality shadows with a wallet-friendly price tag. They come packed with pigment and have a luxurious texture that makes them haul worthy!

Have you tried the L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eye Shadows?

  3. I've gotten nine of these and overall really like them. I agree about using primer but I've got oily lids so that's a must for me with any shadow. These did crease on me, even with primer, after about 8 hours. Still pretty good though. I love Sultry Smoke, great color.

  4. I love these, but they're not so wallet friendly here at $20 a pop. So gorgeous, though.

  5. I haven't seen any of these shades before, I love them all. I have Sahara Treasure and it's probably my current favourite eyeshadow.
