New York Color Fashion Predator Collection - Review, Photos & Swatches

New York Color's Fashion Predator Collection is a new, limited-edition collection for fall. The collection features eye shadow palettes, lip glosses, metallic eyeliners and nail polishes in rich hues and jewel tones, perfect for fall! If you don't want to splurge a lot on seasonal colors that you may or may not wear throughout the year, this collection is perfect!

Individual Eyes Compact in Concrete Jungle and Animal Instinct ($4.99 each)

Animal Instinct is more of a neutral palette with a dark, metallic green for a pop of color and Concrete Jungle is made of purples and plums. I won't say these are terribly pigmented, but they work well under a primer and blend quite nicely. They do come with a highlighter and a primer but those feel a little too waxy on my lids. The selection of colors is pretty nice and these palettes travel really well. The Animal Instinct palette is a little more pigmented than Concrete Jungle and is something I can see myself reaching out to more.

Metallic Liquid Eyeliners in Leopard Print and Serpentine Purple ($2.99)

Metallic Liquid Liners from NYC are something I've never tried before. Both colors are gorgeous metallics and show up well on my skin tone. I do need a little bit of layering with Serpentine Purple but Leopard Print goes on pretty pigmented. These liners dry to a slick finish and have a slight sheen to them. The shimmer isn't chunky but they are not waterproof either. I get about 4-5 hours of wear time after which it tends to flake a little bit. That being said, the colors are beautiful, especially Leopard Print!

Show Time Eye Brightening Mascara in Brown Pearls ($3.99)

A brown mascara that has quite a bit of metallic sheen. I have dark lashes myself and almost, always use black mascara but I quite like the softer take on black. It is quite subtle and although not very lengthening it does add quite a bit of volume. Not sure what the brightening effect is but, the overall look is very natural without making lashes too stiff.

8 hr City Proof Lip gloss in Venomous Berry and Femme Fatale ($3.49)

One of my favourite pieces from this whole collection. I love the 8 hr City Proof Glosses from NYC. They have the perfect consistency and an extremely smooth, moisturizing formula. For the price, these are an absolute steal! Both Venomous Berry and Femme Fatale are beautiful fall colors, perfect for the season without breaking the bank. I have nothing that I don't like about these glosses. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend you do!

Rock Muse Smoky Top Coat ($2.49)

A blackened grey top coat with flecks of shimmer. It is a top coat so, the consistency is quite thin and not so opaque. On its own, it needs about 3 coats to be completely opaque, but I love layering it over blacks, greys and dark blue or green polishes. I've layered it over a dark green creme polish here and love the overall effect. I din't  bother sealing it with a top coat and it was still quite glossy and lasted about 3 days on me, before chipping!
