BITE Beauty's new holiday launch is the new Luminous Lip Library ($36), a limited-edition kit featuring lip treatments, lipsticks and sheer balms all packaged in a sleek, travel friendly compact, with a mirror included! The kit includes Superfruit Butter, Line and Define Lip Primer, Sheer Balm, Luminous Crème Lipstick in Cava (lilac beige), Rosette (soft pink), Pepper (dusty rose), Fig (nude rose), Cin Cin (tropical coral), Poppy (bright poppy red), Carménère (apple red), Rosé (peachy pink), Tannin (poppy red) and a Lip brush.
The Superfruit Butter is a sheer lip balm, made with berry extracts and a good base to prep your lips prior to lipstick. Not that these Luminous Creme Lipsticks need a balm underneath. They are super creamy and have a lovely, very subtle sheen to them. The colors in this palette are gorgeous and the reds are perfect for the holiday season. They do have some warm nudes and beautiful pinks which makes it a complete lip palette that you can just toss into your purse. Because of the buttery texture, these lipsticks tend to bleed a little, so using the Line and Define Primer keeps them from bleeding. More like an invisible lip liner and a slick base, the Primer works well with most creamy lipsticks. The palette also comes with a sheer balm in a light pink color, almost clear on my lips. Finally, the lip brush, which is fantastic and a perfect way to apply these pigmented, creamy lipsticks!
Overall, a wonderful, very practical gift and a great way to try out some of Bite Beauty's Luminous Creme Lipsticks. The textures aren't overly squishy, so they don't make a mess inside the palette, plus it has magnetic closure, which makes sure it won't open up while traveling.
Formulated without Parabens, synthetic oils or waxes, polybutenes and petroleum.
