Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin FakeOut Mascara

A very new launch from Physicians Formula, the FakeOut Mascara ($7.95 - $9.95), made from 100% natural origin lash extension fibers, promises fuller, longer lashes for an instant fake lash effect without the irritation.

A rather pricey mascara for drugstore standards, this one comes packaged in a lovely hot pink tube. It does look very bulky, but feels much lighter than a lot of mascaras I've tried. The wand is a slightly bigger, plastic wand with short, spiky bristles that look promising in terms of separating and volumizing lashes. So far, I haven't had any problems with too much of goop sitting on the wand, even after using it quite a few times. The short spikes help a great deal with separating my stubby lashes and lengthens them really well. It doesn't help too much with curl or volume, but delivers clean, long, fluttery lashes that don't feel too stiff even after a couple of coats. The formula is a tad dry and I don't see too much of flaking or smudging either.

Overall, if you are looking for the fake lash effect, you may be left disappointed, but if you love the clean, natural look, this is something absolutely worth trying. As for me, I love the natural looking definition and length, but my short, stubby lashes could use a little more volume too. PF also claims it stays on for 24 hours, but I noticed tiny black flakes along the outer corners after about 9 hours. It is non-waterproof and comes off clean with any basic cleanser without too much effort!

Have you tried the Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin FakeOut Mascara?

    1. haha, very cool packaging! I wouldn't have picked it up if it had blah packaging. I really hope these brands come to India, all these would be flying off the shelves!
