Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 'Sparkling Black'

The Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners ($4.49) are a new Spring launch from Rimmel and come in 10 different shades, ranging from bright blues to dark everyday browns and blacks. Sparkling Black, as the name suggests is a black with silver shimmer - a very pretty color for the lash line!

The ScandalEyes liners are very creamy, smooth, precise and don't tug or pull. The texture is comparable to a lot of pricier, department store lines for one fourth of the price! The shimmer is quite obvious, but not chunky or gritty. I can't speak for other colors in the ScandalEyes range, but Sparkling Black is best suited for the lash line because of the glitter. I tried it on my waterline and there was a slight stinging sensation that wouldn't go away for a few hours. If you have sensitive eyes, keep the color to the lash line  It is very waterproof and won't budge once it sets. As for the color, Sparking Black is effortless - it looks fabulous on its own, paired with some kohl on the waterline and lots of mascara. Texture wise, I have no complaints either - a single stroke is all you need for rich, pigmented color.

Overall,  an amazing bargain and great quality. Like I said before, steer clear of the waterline, especially with this shade, because of the shimmer. I haven't seen Sparking Black in any of the drugstores in my area, only the basic colors, but if you do see it, be sure to pick one up. I'm sure you'll love it!

Have you tried the Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Eyeliners? What are your favorite colors?
