5 Warm Weather Beauty Essentials I'm Currently Loving

A few, new to me, products from Perricone, Shiseido & more that I've been loving for the slightly warm weather. Some of these are definitely going to be my favorites come summer too.

Perricone's Photo Plasma ($20 - $69; perriconemd.com)  is an oil-free, broad spectrum SPF 30 moisturizer that packs anti aging benefits and good sun protection. It has a beautiful, mousse like texture and consistency that feels great on my dry skin. It sinks in quite fast, but does leave a slight, dewy looking film on the skin. You may not like it so much if your skin leans oily, but its perfect for when you want to layer makeup on top. There's not much of a fragrance to it, nor fancy packaging, but is definitely is a great, lightweight moisturizer to have for summer, especially for normal to dry skin types. Sephora now has a smaller size of this moisturizer too, great to try out without splurging on a full-size.

Smashbox Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara ($20 ; shop.nordstrom.com) - Smashbox's full exposure mascara now comes in a waterproof version. It is super waterproof and one of the toughest to remove, so great for rainy and or hot and humid weather conditions. Its a nice mascara for length and volume, but be sure to keep a nice lash comb handy as it can clump quite a bit. The color is jet black and the formula wont budge, once dry.

Philip B. Oud Royal Thermal Protection Spray ($25; net-a-porter.com) is a multi-tasking heat protectant that protects, detangles and repairs. The scent is divine - its a luxurious scent (described as Oud, encapsulated in tiny safflower oleosomes) that lingers on for almost a whole day. Its rightly described as a time released hair perfume with benefits. The weightless mist does what it says and leaves my hair feeling smooth, soft and very shiny. Its great to use in conjunction with a heat styling tool, alone when air drying or as a protectant from the sun's harmful rays, beach or pool water - I love it! The formula is also paraben-free.

Shiseido's Ultimate Sun Protection Spray Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ For Face/Body ($36; shop.nordstrom.com) is probably my favorite sun care product from Shiseido by far. Its a light weight sunscreen mist that absorbs quickly. The spray bottle releases a fine mist of sunscreen that can be used for both face & body - no greasy mess or residue. It does have a strong scent though, which is my only qualm. Other than that, there's nothing I don't like about. Definitely something I would re-purchase when I run out.

Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Correcting Hand Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 15 ($15 - $29.50; shop.nordstrom.com), promises to fade dark spots and protect hands. I can't speak too much on the dark spot correction & lightening aspect, but its definitely a nice, very water-resistant hand cream with sun protection. Its not too greasy, absorbs quickly and leaves hands looking really healthy. I'm not sure if I will re-purchase though, but its quite a nice one to have in your bag for summer and if you prefer something fragrance-free (there's a slight sunscreen scent, but dissipates fast, but no other added scent), this is a good one to try! Its now on sale at Nordstrom, 10% off.
