NARS Velvet Lip Liners | Waimea and Patong Beach

The Velvet Lip Liners ($24; narscosmetics.com) , are NARS' newest launch and come in 12 fantastic colors, all of them very pigmented, creamy, in the most beautiful color range. I tried out Waimea and Patong Beach - Waimea is a peachy nude, something I like for a nude lip, especially when paired with a sheer gloss on top and Patong Beach is a slightly deep rose.

Like NARS' eye pencils, these too feature a twist up mechanism and come with a sharpener included. They come packed with pigment, the color payoff is great and the texture is smooth and silky. On their own, they could be a tad drying after about 2-3 hours, like any other lip liner, so a dab of lipbalm or a bit of gloss over is how I prefer it. Both colors have a satin matte finish and these are probably the longest wearing lip liners I've tried so far. They hold lip color in place and keep extremely creamy lipsticks from bleeding - especially fabulous to pair with their Audacious Lipsticks. Waimea in particular is great to even lips out and define perfectly, if you wear nude lips often. Its quite a universal color that works with many nudes and peachy pinks I have. Overall, if you are looking for a longwear liner with great color payoff and a comfortably wearing formula, give the NARS Velvet Lip Liners a try!
