I’m all about sheer, easy to wear lipsticks and anything with mauve or plum undertones are among the more flattering colors on my pigmented lips. These are my Top 3 sheer plummy lipsticks I’ve reached out to again and again - they are all quite similar, color and undertone wise, but I absolutely love them all.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Confident ($35; chanel.com), one of four lipsticks that was released as part of the fall collection. Confident is a true sheer that requires quite a few swipes to show up, but its the perfect swipe and go kinda color - very glossy and balmy.
NARS Damage ($26; sephora.com), another lipstick I’ve had and loved for about a year now. I’ve worn Damage a lot and absolutely love the mix of plum and pink in there. Its a gorgeous color for most medium/dark skin tones!
MAC Lustre Lipstick in Capricious ($16; maccosmetics.com), another very beautiful, sheer plum rose, probably the most pigmented of the three. MAC has a color for every skin tone and while not the most unique color out there, it still is one that I would absolutely recommend for a lovely wash of color with a hint of shine from the very fine shimmer in there.
