Skin & Co Roma’s new Umbrian Apothecary line features four collections that feature bath and body products in natural formulas that include skin soothing oils and emollients. The line is formulated without parabens, petrolatum, paraffin, mineral oils and sulfates.
I got to try out a couple of products from the Umbrian Apothecary Citrus Amaro collection - the Shower Gel ($14) and the Body Lotion ($18). The Shower Gel is a gentle, foaming cleanser that cleanses beautifully without drying skin out. It washes off clean without any residue and keeps skin feeling comfortably soft. The scent is fresh, but doesn’t linger around for too long. The Body Lotion is very light, probably better suited for summer since it does need a bit of reapplication. It also takes a bit of time to absorb and there’s a light scent that isn’t too bothersome. Of the two, I absolutely love the shower gel, the body lotion is nice, but I’d like something a little more richer for the winter. I’m curious to check out some more of the shower gels from the line after trying out Citrus Amaro.
The Umbrian Apothecary Collection is exclusive to Duane Reade and Walgreens, but Nordstrom does stock a small line of their Truffle line. They also have a promo currently, for a GWP with any $70 Skin & Co Roma purchase. The kit includes travel-sizes of Truffle Body Gel, Sicilian Body Lotion, and Truffle Body Milk.
