Perricone MD Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment

The Perricone Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment ($39; perriconemd.com) is a mild cleanser and toner that removes traces of makeup and dirt without stripping skin of its natural oils.

Like everything else from Perricone, this one too comes packaged in a weighty glass bottle. I like it more as a skin cleanser than a makeup remover. To get heavy makeup off I needed to use more than usual product and it wasn’t very effective with long wear stuff, so I’ve been using it as a follow up to my cleanser or cleaning oil. To use, just take a few dabs on a cotton pad and wipe all over face and neck. It gets rid off any kind of residue left behind and traces of foundation and powder if any. If you have very minimal to no makeup though, it can be used on its own, followed by a final rinse with water if needed. Rinsing is recommend as an optional step, I like a few splashes of cold water to finish off, but if you don’t, it still is fine since the product doesn’t feel too tacky. There’s a slight medicinal scent to it that doesn’t really linger too long. Blue Plasma does leave skin glowy, dewy and a bit less tired looking. I have very dry skin and it does not leave my skin feeling stripped or tight, which I absolutely love about it. Overall, while not a one step cleanser or makeup remover, I really like it as a follow up to my cleanser or as a cleanser on days when I have very little to no makeup. Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment is sulfate and paraben free.
