Two Quick and Easy Hydrating Treatments For Frizz Prone Hair

Two new to me, haircare treatments I’ve tried and loved lately are the Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intense Fortifying Mask and the Drybar Bay Breeze Hydrating Shots, both great for frizz prone, normal-dry hair.

Two Quick and Easy Hydrating Treatments For Frizz Prone Hair

I haven’t tried very much from Drybar, but picked up a travel size, one time use version of the Bay Breeze Hydrating Shots ($10- $38; sephora.com). Its a spray-on deep conditioner that you massage on hair and scalp post shampoo, leave it on for 3-5 minutes and rinse. Its pretty great at detangling and adding a lot of smoothness to hair. I did feel like the small shot for $10 is a slight rip off though, since its only good for a generous one time use if you have medium-short length hair. I was able to get a little more extra for the second time use , but the pump makes for a bit of product wastage and is quite impractical. I do, however, like the way my hair feels and needs less of styling, so I might buy the full size pack of four when a sale comes around. It did leave my hair very shiny, not too weighed down and needed minimal effort for a blowdry which is great!

Fekkai’s PrX Reparatives Intense Fortifying Mask ($25; fekkai.com; press sample) is a deep conditioning mask that is quite rich and luxurious to use. It comes in a generous tub, that even after quite a few uses, I haven't made a big dent in. I would prefer using this after a clarifying shampoo and it leaves my hair very silky and manageable. It only takes about 2-3 minutes for the mask to do its thing. The scent is amazing and lingers on until the next wash. It is one I’d use maybe once a week since my hair can feel weighed down with regular deep conditioning, but definitely a pampering treat for when hair feels dry, very frizzy and lackluster!
