Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Matte Mauve (
$20; smashbox.com) is a cool toned mauve pink,one of six shades from the Be Legendary Matte Lipstick Collection. Mauve Matte is very pigmented, the color tends to wash me out just a little and the finish is a non-drying, modern satin matte that doesn’t get very dry or cakey as it wears. I like a touch of lip balm or gloss over it after a couple of hours just because I always like a bit of sheen and find mattes a little high maintenance throughout the day. The texture is really nice and looks neater with a lip liner as the color can feather a little outside the lip line. Overall, nice formula, beautiful finish, the color is one that I like to layer under a lipgloss than on its own and the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick packaging is really quite simple and chic!
