La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution and Cicaplast Baume B5

La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution and Cicaplast Baume B5

La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Water ($20.99; larocheposay.com) and Cicaplast Baume B5 ($14.99; larocheposay.com) are fairly new products, both very gentle and safe for sensitive skin and fragrance-free. The Micellar Water is a non-rise, quick and easy makeup remover, alcohol-free, very lightweight and gets rid of makeup. I found it best on non-waterproof, light makeup that isn’t heavy duty.It does struggle a little with waterproof mascara and eyeliner that needed something oil based to get off. It is to be used like any other micellar water, on a cotton pad to remove makeup or residual oils from face. It isn’t too stripping, but I like to follow up with a skin cleanser afterwards to get a thorough clean. For a quick and easy clean, or on lazy days with little to no makeup, this is great and very gentle!

The Cicaplast Baume B5 is a multipurpose soothing balm for adults, children and babies that can be used on the body, face and lips. I also like it on dry cuticles and dry spots around my cheeks. Its pretty quick absorbing, very soothing, not greasy and works to soothe redness, irritation and itching. A great staple to have for very dry skin, especially now during the colder weather and the tube packaging is very convenient. It is also paraben, fragrance and lanolin free.
