Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense

Light Blue Eau Intense ($108 for 3.3oz; sephora.com) is new from Dolce & Gabbana, very similar, but less circusy and more floral than the classic Light Blue, which is one of my favorite scents for the summertime. Eau Intense has notes of Lemon, Granny Smith Apples, Jasmine, Marigold, Amber and Musk. The opening is very fresh, much like the original Light Blue as they both open with zesty citrusy notes, while Light Blue Eau Intense starts to settle down to a little more of a fruity floral with a bit of the musk and amber kicking in during the dry down. I find Eau Intense to be a little more of a grown up version of the classic Light Blue, yet very summery and light without being too strong. The citrus notes are definitely there, they linger through the dry down, but they are subtle because of the florals and the creamy musk. The lasting power and sillage are both fantastic and the fragrance itself is something you can’t wrong with for this time of the year if you are looking for a warm, fresh, zesty, not too feminine scent for the warmer months ahead.
