Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Soul La Commedia

Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Soul La Commedia

Tuscan Soul La Commedia ($190; saksfifthavenue.com), is new from Salvatore Ferragamo, a woody-spicy, unisex scent and an ode to the masterpiece of Italian Literature, Dante’s Divine Comedy. Its a warm, woody, spicy concoction with notes of Bitter Orange, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Pimento, Gaiac Wood and Vetiver. La Commedia is a very unique fragrance with the right mix of everything I love - a touch of sweetness, quite spicy, but also very warm and comforting. The opening is a tad intense with lots of the Bitter Orange and Cardamom coming through. The fragrance dries down to a much more softer, comforting scent that feels a touch more masculine, yet sweet enough for women to wear. I love these kinda fragrances during the fall and winter and this one especially would be among my top fragrances for the colder weather. There’s also a little bit of a powderiness, a dry, incense like quality to the scent that lingers around through the day, yet doesn’t overpower. I absolutely love the bottle design and the weighty ash wood cap. The fragrance itself is very sophisticated, unique and perfect as a fall-winter scent for both men and women.
