Three New Summer Skincare Launches To Try For Dry Skin

Three new summer skincare launches I’ve been testing out for quite sometime now & think they'd perfectly fit combination-dry skin.

Summer Skincare From Vichy, Clark's Botanicals and Dermalogica

The Retinol Release Overnight Cream ($98; clarksbotanicals.com) is new from Clark’s Botanicals. Its a fantastic night time retinol cream with a thick, rich texture that melts onto the skin. I did not notice the usual dryness from retinol products and my skin felt super soft and noticeably bright. The fragrance is a lithe strong though, but tends to fade quickly as the cream sinks in.

Mineral 89 ($29.50; ultabeauty.com) is a light moisture gel-serum-moisturizer from Vichy that is great for combination-dry skin types, especially for summer. The formula features 89% of the Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water plus Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate. It does have a little bit of a tacky feeling though, but a good one if your skin needs moisture and you don’t want anything too heavy. While I won’t say this replaces my moisturizer, it definitely adds a boost when layered underneath.

The Nightly Lip Treatment ($49; dermalogica.com) is a fantastic overnight lip treatment from Dermalogica targeted at lip aging, fine lines and dryness. The applicator is great for a quick massage and the thick cream sinks in almost instant and leaves a matte, barely there finish which I love. It does have a bit of a minty scent, but no tingling. I found this very effective at making my lips look smoother, plump and very soft within the first few uses. I also use it around the lip area.
