The Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick ($28; lauramercier.com) is a new, ultra matte, lightweight, full coverage lip color from Laura Mercier. The packaging is similar to their Caviar Sticks and the lipsticks pack a ton of pigment in just one swipe. I do have to say that these are very matte, yet not too drying. I’d dab a touch of lip balm over these by the end of the 5-6 hour mark but they do stay put beyond that without fading or feathering much. They also come with a sharpener on one end and the slim tube is very comfortable to apply with and helps define and sculpt. Overall, a great formula, it can be a touch drying if you have very dry lips like me, but definitely an extreme matte formula that feels ultra lightweight and smooth.
