The Kerastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Hair Serum ($55; kerastase-usa.com) is an overnight serum that can be used on damp or dry hair. Its a super lightweight serum that sinks into hair and doesn’t leave a reside on pillows. This one is like an overnight hair protector that also helps with the frizzes and keeps hair super soft, tangle-free and bouncy. Kerastase doesn’t recommend washing it out the next day, and in fact, it does leave hair more manageable the next day without the need for a blow dryer. I have used this mostly on dry hair since I do not go to sleep with damp hair and on damp hair, I have used this as a blow dry balm and it works great both ways. Like most silicone based styling/treatment products, this one too can weigh hair down overtime so a clarifying shampoo in between washes is something I’d recommend. The scent is amazing and lingers on through the day, until it is washed out.
