The Beauty Sleep Resurfacing Serum ($28; ulta.com) is a gentle overnight resurfacing serum form Honest Beauty formulated with AHAs to gently exfoliate while you sleep. It's a super lightweight layering serum that can be used on its own as well. I much prefer chemical exfoliants to physical scrubs and since my skin leans towards the sensitive and combination/dry side this time of the year, this is something I’ve loved using at night. I like to use a moisturizer on top, but I have used this all by itself too with nice results without drying skin out. The consistency is that of a clear gel and it sinks in very quickly without feeling sticky or greasy. The formula contains a mix of AHAs like lactic, glycolic, citric, malic and tartaric acids for exfoliation. My skin feels smooth, glowy and soft the next morning. If you are starting out with exfoliants, this is a great one to try and also one to implement a few nights a week if you don’t want anything super strong, yet would like something that does the job without causing too much redness or irritation!
