The Light Shifter Finishing Veil Setting Powder ($34; ulta.com) is a new finishing powder from Becca, a sheer coverage, lightweight powder with a satin, yet luminous finish. It comes in six shades, I picked up the shade Star Hugger 3, which is perfect, not ashy and matches my skin tone well this time of the year. I love how it does’t change the tone of my base makeup and just adds a nice luminous layer with a very slight blurring effect without looking too dewy. I have been skipping setting powder a lot lately, so this is something I use instead, although it has barely any coverage and is great if you have dry skin. I found that this did not emphasize my pores and there’s absolutely no visible shimmer or glitter. I used a large fluffy brush to just sweep it all over my face. Overall, if you are looking for a lightweight, natural looking finishing powder to go over your setting powder, or just over foundation or any other base, I’d recommend checking this out. There are currently 6 shades, but since it is super sheer, it is forgiving and easy to work with.
