A Drop d’Issey Eau de Parfum ($111; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new fragrance launch by Issey Miyake. It's a creamy, warm floral with notes of Almond Milk, Damask Rose, Lilac, Star Anise, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Musk, Ambroxan and Atlas Cedar. The bottle is beautiful, very unique and the fragrance itself is something I’d wear all through the year. The opening is very floral, but not too heady, light and crisp with the rose and almond notes being the most prominent. The Lilac and Orange Blossom peek through as the fragrance settles down and linger until dry down. The creamy musk and vanilla add a touch of softness during dry down and keep the fragrance very interesting. It is quite a sophisticated fragrance without too much of sweetness and also one with great longevity, even on a hot summer day. Overall, I’d definitely recommend A Drop d’Issey if you like florals with a hint of creaminess and sophisticated rose based fragrances for anytime of the year!
