MOP is a haircare brand that is new to me and I tried a few products from their Pomegranate range aimed at controlling frizz and smoothing hair. The Smoothing Shampoo( $24; https://mopproducts.com/) is sulfate free and formulated with pomegranate enzyme for smooth, shiny hair. It is a concentrated formula that lathers up beautifully and does not leave a residue behind. The Smoothing Conditioner ($27; https://mopproducts.com/) is a slightly thick, rich conditioner that helps detangle and is great for medium-thick hair. It pairs well with the shampoo and washes off without weighing hair too much. I also liked the Pomegranate Smoothing Lotion ($29; https://mopproducts.com/) and Nourishing Oil ($32; https://mopproducts.com/) that is great for fine-medium hair that gets frizzy and helps as a pre-styling product. The oil can weigh down hair a little bit, but a little bit goes a really long way and it isn’t sticky. The Glossing Pomade ($27; https://mopproducts.com/) is to be used to keep flyaways in place and can be used on dry hair as well, post styling to keep hair looking sleek and smooth. Much like the oil, this one too is great when used sparingly and can make hair look a little slick too, especially if you have a lot of flyaways. As with any smoothing haircare range, I would recommend a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of product buildup.
