The bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Matte Tinted Moisturizer ($37; sephora.com) is a new launch from bareMinerals and a lightweight, matte formula of their best selling Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer. There are 20 shades in this range and one that covers most skin tones and undertones. The shade Ginger is a close match for my skintone. The formula is lightweight and sheer and blends better with fingers than a brush. I have pretty dry skin, so I use a very rich moisturizer underneath to help the product blend easily. It does have an SPF of 30 in a mineral sunscreen formula so while the white cast might appear initially, it does settle down quickly. If you have oily skin or an oily t-zone, this would help keep it pretty much matte for a good 5-6 hours. Since I have dry skin, I like to mix this with a highlighter as it can look a little too matte on my skin. It is sheer though, so a very forgiving formula that is easy to blend and sets quickly without enhancing my dry spots. Overall, I really like the extensive shade range and the lightweight formula is best suited for the summertime or on hot and humid days.
